Reminder Commander Overview

In today’s modern and hectic lifestyle, it is often difficult to remember to do everything from day-to-day. Have you ever forgotten to pay a bill or make an important phone call? Have you ever missed your favorite TV show or been late sending birthday greetings to a friend? Or perhaps, even when you think everything is done, are you plagued by nagging doubts that something has been forgotten?

In business as well as personal life, recalling information and remembering to complete all the tasks in hand can be a tricky affair. Important appointments, scheduled phone calls, meetings and conferences: it can be difficult to remember all of this. Of course, if you are a big boss then you may have a personal assistant to keep you organized. But not everyone has this luxury.

Reminder Commander
software has been developed in order to help tackle this inevitable problem. Like a virtual Personal Assistant, the software will help you avoid problematic memory lapses and the resulting frustration, ensuring your life and work is super organized. First and foremost, this software is useful for those who spend a lot of time working with the computer at home and at work.

Reminder Commander is based on a powerful and flexible algorithm for tracking events according to user-specified parameters. It is possible to either set one-off reminders or schedule periodic reminders based on hourly, daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly timescales. It is also possible to specify other variants for the exact time to prompt a reminder.

Unlike a lot of similar software, Reminder Commander allows you to configure a reminder in such a way that you receive notification of an important event in advance. After all, there is no point in being reminded too late! This capability allows plenty of time to send a birthday card, order flowers for a wedding anniversary or send an important report on time.

Important scheduled meetings, paying monthly bills, essential phone calls, taking prescribed medicine, birthdays, anniversaries, business trips, appointments, holidays and much, much more – Reminder Commander can be responsible for all of this, leaving you free from the worry of forgetting anything.

Features in detail:

Intuitive and easy-to-use graphical interface
The interface was developed with two goals in mind: simplicity and functionality. Unlike a lot of similar software, all reminders are split into four lists instead of one general list. As a result, the program is easy-to-use and navigation through reminders is very simple. You just specify the time of the event and the reminder time, and Reminder Commander alerts you when the time comes.

Unlimited number of reminders
The number of reminders is not limited and infinite reminders can be created.

Popup reminders
Reminders that are due will pop up in small windows in the lower-right hand corner of the screen. It will then be possible to either accept or postpone these reminders. If the full text of the reminder cannot be viewed in the small window, the text can be revealed in a larger and more functional window.

Various reminder types – one-off and periodic
The program has several types of reminders: once, hourly, daily, weekly, monthly and yearly. There is also an additional type of reminder – postponed.

Reminding in advance
Of course, it is very important not to miss a scheduled event and sometimes you have to be reminded in advance. There are four options for specifying when to show the reminder in the program:

  • Exactly when the event is due
  • A few minutes, hours, days, weeks or months before the event
  • At an alternative specified time which is not the time of the event
  • The time Reminder Commander next starts (i.e. when your computer is next turned on)

Postponing reminders
Reminder Commander allows you to postpone reminders any number of times so you can keep receiving notification.

Disabling reminders
You may need to temporarily disable a reminder. Of course, it can just be deleted. However, you can also make it inactive with one click, after which it will not disturb you.

Tracking missed reminders
The algorithm of Reminder Commander was developed to avoid any possibility of missing a reminder. If you are away from the computer when the reminder pops up, the reminder window will remain on the screen until you return. Even if there is a system or power failure, the reminders that were active when the failure occurred will be displayed after the computer is restarted.
And finally, if your computer is switched off then all due reminders will be shown as soon as you turn on the computer.

Separate reminder lists
Reminder Commander has convenient and comprehensive lists with reminder events. All reminders are divided into four lists:

  • Unclosed reminders that are currently displayed
  • One-off reminders (once and postponed)
  • Periodic reminders (hourly, daily, weekly, monthly and yearly)
  • The reminder history containing all previous reminders

Reminder history
A little like a personal diary, Reminder Commander can be used to look through what has happened in your life. The reminder history is really useful for recalling an event that has already taken place.
The list of all past reminders contains the time of the event, the actual reminder display time and the scheduled reminder display time.

One file for all reminders
All reminders, both past and future, are stored in a database consisting of one file that you can move to any folder or disk or back up if necessary.

Automatic launch at Windows startup
Reminder Commander is launched automatically when you turn on your computer and the operating system is started. The automatic launch can be disabled if required.

Access to the program via the icon in the system tray
Once stared, Reminder Commander can be found in the system tray in the form of an icon and does not interfere with your work. This icon can be used to open the main window of the program or its menu.

Email reminders
Email reminders can be created if you are going to be away from the computer and do not want to miss an important event. These reminders can be read later via a mobile phone that is capable of receiving email, PDA or pager.

Sound notifications
A sound notification can be specified for any reminder. Supported formats include Wav and mp3 audio files.

Tasks
In addition to regular reminders, Reminder Commander can automatically execute scheduled tasks, such as running applications and opening files or folders. For example, if you need to manually run a folder synchronization or disk check and run defragmentation software once a week, Reminder Commander can carry this out for you. Alternatively, an audio file can be configured to open at a specified time to act as an alarm clock reminder.

Backing up the reminder database
To prevent reminders from being lost, Reminder Commander automatically backs up the database. The number and frequency of backup copies can easily be specified.

Privacy protection
With security at its heart, Reminder Commander uses safe methods to ensure that only you can read the content of display reminders in the popup windows. For example, if you work in an office and do not want anyone to read your popup reminder, the privacy protection mode can be enabled. This mode is based on the widespread method of password protection within programs – asterisks are displayed instead of text.

As soon as you start using Reminder Commander, you will immediately notice the tremendous impact it has on helping to organize your life. Reminder Commander will raise the efficiency of your life, make it run much more smoothly and surely make you a bigger success!
